We are presently recruiting for the following positions:

 

Senior Corporate Commercial Secretary

ASSETS:

  • Experience in PC LAW, Word, Word Perfect, Teraview, Fast Company, and Conveyancer.
  • Knowledge of Residential Real Estate and Estates would be beneficial but not necessary.
  • Corporations:
  • Set up and maintenance of corporate minute books * Acquisitions: Asset and share purchases and sales
  • Corporate Reorganization:
  • Including articles of amendment, dissolution and amalgamation, drafting shareholders agreements, commercial real estate transactions including secured transactions. * College Diploma in office/legal assistant an asset.
  • Computer literate, experience in PC Law, Microsoft Outlook, and MS Word an asset
  • Knowledge of legal terminology an asset
  • Typing skills 50 wpm or more
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Professional and pleasant telephone manner
  • Able to deal with the public politely and articulately.
  • High stress and fast paced environment
  • Office experience an asset

MAIN DUTIES:

  • answer the telephone (polite and professional)
  • entering dockets into PC Law
  • filing
  • typing correspondence/forwarding correspondence to clients
  • maintenance of stock and supplies
  • scanning documents to files
  • scheduling and diarizing appointments in Microsoft Outlook

Knowledge of residential real estate and estates would be beneficial but not necessary

Family Law Associate

Responsibilities

• Primary focus of role will be on the following areas: family law matter including but not limited contested divorce and corollary issues: custody, access, child support, spousal support, equalization.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada;
  • LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized University.
  • Three (3) years of experience in General Litigation
  • A desire to build a successful practice with our growing firm;
  • Ability to work in either of our locations, namely Windsor and Belle River.

Corporate/Commercial, Civil and Estate Associate

Responsibilities

• Primary focus of role will be on the following areas: Civil Litigation, Estate Litigation and Corporate/Commercial;
• Assistance with other matters such as Family Law, and Employment Law; and
• Other duties as required.
Requirements

  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada;
  • LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized University.
  • Five (5) years of experience in General Litigation
  • A desire to build a successful practice with our growing firm;
  • Ability to work in either of our locations, namely Windsor and Belle River.
